It’s my three year anniversary with my boyfriend coming up, and I wanted to make him something nice for his room as he’s going to university soon. I came up with the idea to make a photo hanger. It was pretty simple and easy, but I had a lot of fun working on it and I hope he will love it!
Stuff I used:
– wooden hearts from craft shop
– red paint
– gardening string
– little wooden pegs
– vintage papers, buttons, rubber stamps etc for decoration
– photos, flyers, adverts, tickets to hang
Firstly I painted the hearts red and drilled a hole in the top of each one. Then I tied small pieces of string through each one and then secured these to a long piece of string (which will be attached to the wall or whatever). Next, the fun part; decorating the hearts! I used scraps of old wrapping paper, buttons, stamps, stickers and song lyrics. But you could use whatever you like.
Once all the photos are hung from it I think it makes a really effective gift! It only cost me about £5 in materials as I already had a lot of the stuff in my craft box! Hope he likes it 🙂
