‘Summer’ and ‘Butterflies’ Art Journal Pages

I made these two a while back, but didn’t find the time to upload them.

This one represents my current desire to go back to the summer, as the dark mornings and evenings at the moment are giving me winter blues! The background was created with torn pieces of a summery napkin and acrylic paints, and I used a crafting knife and shaped punches to create the shapes in the foreground.

This one was my attempt to incorporate the quote ‘Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life’. I mainly used sponges to apply the paint for this page, and used a rubber butterfly shaped stamp, as well as scraps of paper and the image of the butterfly which was cut from an old greetings card.

Hope you guys like them! 🙂
