Making Embellishments Using Leftover Scraps

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I’ve been really busy doing uni work as I have my final exams coming up – scary times!

The other day I was sorting through my folder of scraps (where I shove any leftover bits of card and paper cuttings) and I realised that I could make something pretty out of them. Turning them into embellishments is perfect if like me, you’re reluctant to throw them away even when they’re only tiny pieces.

Once I’d cut the scraps into different shapes, I created texture by layering different papers on top, and adding buttons, brads and other embellishments. It was so fun pairing up different papers which matched, and it’s transformed cuttings which would have eventually ended up in the bin, into pretty little details which I can add to cards, happy mail and other projects. Why not sort through your old scraps and try it yourself!
